Beliefs

The Bible, the infallible Word of God which is contained in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, is the highest rule and standard for our doctrine and life.

Subordinate to the Bible, the church’s doctrinal standards are: the three ecumenical creeds (the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed) and the three Forms of Unity (the Belgic Confession, the Heidelberg Catechism, and the Canons of Dordt).

The Belgic Confession (1563)
The Heidelberg Catechism (1561)
The Canons of the Synod of Dordtrecht (1619)

To further promote good and orderly church government, BBRC has adopted, in addition to the seventeenth-century  Church Order of Dordt (1618), a constitution and bylaws that serve to structure and regulate the church’s conduct and decision making. Members can download the constitution and bylaws from the Resources page after logging in.
